Pegasus Icons for Web Page Use
The
official UCF gold for Web page use is:
#CC9900 or R204, G153, B0
All of the official UCF icons for WEB PAGE USE are created using this color. This does not mean that every gold must be this color. It is instituted as a standard for consistency in creating official pages for the UCF Community. Other useful Web colors include black, white, and various shades of grey.
These are the actual files and their filenames. These are not to be altered in any way. If you need one of these on a different colored background, a layered photoshop file is available. Please contact the Course Development & Web Services Web Strategists at Web@mail.ucf.edu with your request.
The file names tell you what the icons are. They are all named peg_.gif. The second series of letters tell you the color of the pegasus (g,b, or w), beveled (b) or flat (f), the color background it is made for (w=white, b=black), and whether it is transparent (t) or not. The last letter will not appear if it is not transparent.
For example: peg_gbwt.gif means that it is a gold colored pegasus, beveled, on a white background, with a transparent background. If it does not have a transparent background, then there are no additional letters.
If you are using a Macintosh, click on the icon that you want, hold the mouse button down, and drag the image to your desktop. If you are using a PC, right-click on the icon and choose "save image as" from the pop-up menu. Choose an appropriate place on your hard drive to save the image for your UCF use.
