Footers
Use the following footer guidelines to help navigation of your site and meet Web policy.
- Link to the top-level pages of your site. Another divider that matches your look should be used.
- You will need to add a time stamp script after the "Page last updated on:" text. The recommended practice is to use a server-side or dynamic solution that automatically stamps the file date, rather than a javascript (client-side) that relies on a user's browser and may not be accessible. Most development tools include such features, such as Dreamweaver's "insert date" command.
- To grab the code, copy and past the text from http://reach.ucf.edu/~wdr/themes/samplefooter.html and save the file to your machine as samplefooter.txt, and open in notepad or word to cut and paste the text into your page.
- To grab the images do the following. If you are using a Macintosh, click on the image that you want, hold the mouse button down, and drag the image to your desktop. If you are using a PC, right-click on the image and choose "save image as" from the pop-up menu. Choose an appropriate place on your hard drive to save the image for use.
- Be sure to use your own Web site link and Webmaster email address, and update the subject line of the email link.
