Mandatory Web Policies
The following is a list of UCF policies and rules that apply to campus Web pages. All links below are external sites and will open in a new window.
- Use of Information Technology and Resources Policy* - see section II, M., for specific information regarding Web sites.
- UCF Golden Rule, Computer Use Policy* - From the Golden Rule "Rules of Conduct."
- Section 508 Standards for Electronic and Information Technology* - issued by the Federal Government, see the standards for Web-based Intranet and Internet Information and Applications.
- FERPA Records Privacy* - All UCF sites must take into account these privacy requirements concerning student information. Web developers making student information public should consult the Registrar's Office*.
- *Florida Statutes Chapter 119* - All UCF sites must take into account these special exemptions before making state employee information available. See Chapter 119.07 Inspection, examination, and duplication of records; exemptions, then subsection (i). Web developers making employee information public should consult Human Resources*.
- Copyright Laws* - Yes, copyright laws do apply to the online environment. Please look through the information provided through our Teaching Online site for details.
- eCommerce Policy* - (Link to Request to Accept Electronic Payments form). Finance and Accounting has established a UCF eCommerce policy that must be adhered to by any UCF organization wishing to establish an electronic payments system. Once this policy is approved, CDWS will receive the request and process accordingly.
