Why Vid101?

As the number of people adopting broadband connections for internet use grows, so do the opportunities for utilizing video content on the web. However, to truly utilize the technology it’s important to understand how to develop video that will have the greatest impact on the viewer. These sessions have been created to assist you in obtaining a well-rounded understanding of the theory, technology, and best practices involved in creating video components.

What tools do you use in your training?

We use a variety of equipment from Sony, Apple, and Adobe. We have chosen the particular equipment you will be utilizing in the course for a few reasons:

The tools in the course are relatively low-cost and available from many sources.
Apple computers are ready for video production right out of their box and easily configurable and customizable.
The programs are industry standard, low cost and available form many sources.

However, this is not to say you can’t utilize other tools for your own productions. We have developed these sessions to give you a solid foundation of theory and understanding of industry standard toolsets. Upon completion of these sessions you’ll be able to operate a broad range of equipment and software applications
