Course Registration Procedures:

There are various course registration procedures so please be careful to chose the correct way to register. Go to the question that applies to your own enrollment situation.

Undergraduate Students
(3000-4000 level courses)

1. Question:

My District has asked me to sign up for various certification courses. I am not a fully admitted UCF Student, I just want to take the courses I need to be certified by my District.

Answer to Question 1:

If your District has asked you to register for a certification course go directly to: course registration. Your status is LNDG - a limited non-degree undergraduate level student. You will be downloading a registration form that should be faxed to: Distributed Learning
(Fax# 407-207-4911).
Registration for Summer 2008 will be open the first week of April 2008. If you have any problems or would just like to confirm receipt of the fax, please contact: The Center for Distributed Learning at 407-823-4910, or distrib@mail.ucf.edu

Remember:
Submission of the forms does not automatically register you for the class. If your UCF records are clear, you will be formally registered with the UCF Registrar the week prior to the start of the class.

2. Question:

I am a fully admitted UCF undergraduate student and

Register through "My UCF" Portal as you would normally register for any other UCF course. Further instructions. If you cannot register and need an override please send an email with the following information - Your name and PID to Dr. Jo Ann M. Whiteman jwhitema@mail.ucf.edu

 

Graduate Students
(5000-6000 level courses)

3. Question:

I already have a four year degree; however, my School District has required me to take these certification courses. I may consider going back to college for my Master's Degree but not right now.

Answer to Question 3:

If you are taking one of the required courses and there are no graduate courses offered then go to: course registration.

However, if there is a graduate course equivalent to the one required by your School District such as the Methods Course for Business Education you should do the following (remember - this is for post-bac graduate students only with a 4-year degree in any area of study. You do not want a Master's Degree in Vocational Education.):

4. Question:

I am already admitted to U.C.F., College of Education, M.A. Vocational Education. So how do I register?

Answer to Question 4:

Register through "My UCF" Portal as you would normally register for any other UCF course. Further instructions. If you cannot register and need an override please send an email with the following information - Your name and PID to Dr. Jo Ann M. Whiteman jwhitema@mail.ucf.edu

If you are considering applying for admission to our MA degree please read the requirements below and contact Dr. Whiteman (407-823-2848) BEFORE you apply on-line.

Admission to College of Education Masters degrees

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required of all graduate students. Minimal requirements for admission are (1) a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 for the last 60 attempted semester hours of undergraduate study and a minimum score of at least 840 on the verbal-quantitative sections of the GRE or (2) a GPA of less than 3.0 combined with a GRE of 1000 or above.”

Requesting a Transcript

We get many emails on the procedures for requesting a formal transcript from UCF to be sent to your home or employer. Follow the procedures outlined from this link to request a transcript. Allow adequate time please!
