As a registered member of this course, you will be assigned a login ID and password. Your login ID is your NID. Your password is whatever you have set it to. The default password is Pyymmdd (Capital P, 2-digit year of birth, 2-digit month of birth,2-digit day of birth).
I will need a current and valid email address for you at all times during the course. Email will be the principal form of communication, so this is a must. If you change addresses during the term, please notify me.
During the first week of the course, please e-mail me and indicate that you have been able to access the course web pages and have read understand the course schedule, requirements, protocols, expectations, etc. Please ask any questions about these items if you have any. Use the following e-mail protocol when you e-mail me:
E-mail protocol - when you e-mail me, please put a relevant description in the subject line. Failure to do so may result in me deleting your message unread, thinking it is spam or contains a virus.
There will be a discussion board available to post technical questions that your fellow classmates can answer; or to post answers to technical problems that you have had and figured out. Everyone having technical difficulties can utilize this forum as a reference.
Attention AOL users: You may need to download Netscape to access the course "Assignments" button. Netscape is free to students and can be downloaded and used in AOL. Access the Netscape website to download the latest version.
An online orientation is available on the "Learning On-Line" site if you need information on how to participate in an online course.
