Creating a Web Page

This section is a guide for you to start creating a Web page. The guide will cover using Netscape Composer, a Web page design program that comes with Netscape Communicator. The program is easy for you because it works like any other word processing program. You don't need to know any of the fancy HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) code in order to get started. Templates are included on a separate disk that can help get you started on your online portfolio.

This first thing you have to do is open Netscape Communicator. A Netscape Navigator window will open up first.

  2. Then choose Blank Page (Blank on Mac's).
  3. A new window called Netscape Composer will open up with a blank page. (Notice the tool bar is different in Composer than in Navigator.) See Figure 1.
