THE TENNET

Purpose of Equipment: This equipment will provide development of the hand-eye coordination skills neccessary for the sport of Tennis.
How to Make It: Using PVC, in segments about 2.5 feet long, attach a hoop-shaped object strong enough to support the weight of at least five nurf balls and attach a net to the hoop. Close off the net. Wrap the pipe with tape, electrical or duct, so that the user will have more grip. File down any sharp points of the PVC and cover any others with a soft substance, in this case glue. The net may be attached using string or staples.
Costs: PVC of this type costs around $0.22 per foot. With $10.00 one could buy more than enough. Net, string, tape, glue, and even hoops can be found in many dollar stores. There are also alternate methods to making hoos which cost less. The total cost for 20 tennets would be about $35.00, or $1.75 each.
How to Use It: Each user would be placed in a limit zone. They could not move from this area. The balls would be thrown or bounced at them, and they would have to catch the ball in the net without moving from their zone, this would force them to do movements much like those in order to catch the balls.
