Purpose of Equipment: To develop hand-eye coordination and have fun throwing rings.
How to Make It: Cut wood block 2" x 6" x 8".
Cut wood dowel from old mop.
Drill hole in block big enough to hammer dowel in block snug.
Manila line.
Unlay line and then replay individual strands to make ring.
Whip rings where the two ends come together.
Color whipping with permanent markers.
Costs: Wood block - $0.35
Wood dowel from old mop - free or less than a dollar new
Manila line - $1.50
Seeing children have fun - priceless
How to Use It: Two players stand beside ring sets at a decided distance. Each player throws his/her toward the goal.
  • ring on block, 1 point
  • ring leaning on dowel, 2 points
  • ring over dowel, 3 points
