Poison Pin

Purpose:

To experience and become familiar with a fundamental activity such as the movement concept of effort while socializing.

Materials and Equipment:

A pin for every three players.

Organization Pattern:

Divide players into groups of three, scattered about the floor.

Description:

Players make a small circle and place pin in the center. Holding onto hands, each tries to pull the others into the circle so they knock the pin down. When the pin is knock down, a point is given to the one who was responsible. The pin is reset, and the game is started again. This will be tiring to the arms, but it is strength-building. The player with the least number of points at the end of a specified playing period wins.

Themes:

Movement concept; strong effort (pulling, pushing). Also, spatial awareness, strength awareness and non-manipulative skills.
