IDL6543 is an award-winning, non-credit course for faculty sponsored by the Center for Distributed Learning (CDL) and (CDWS. IDL6543 models how to teach online using a combination of seminars, labs, consultations, and Web-based instruction. IDL6543 is an M or mixed-mode course. It includes both required classroom attendance and online instruction. The time commitment for this course is not inconsequential, in that it requires a minimum of 80 clock hours. The purpose of this faculty development course is to help you succeed as you develop and deliver your fully online (W) course or mixed-mode (M) course.
Please note: CDWS’s Instructional Technology Group (ITG) provides faculty with comprehensive training using Webcourses@UCF. By contrast, IDL6543 addresses broader technology skills, pedagogy, and logistics involved in successfully teaching online at UCF.

You will be certified to develop and deliver online courses at UCF by successfully completing IDL6543. To meet certification requirements, you must successfully complete the following components stated below. (You may view your completion status for each item by visiting the "My Grades" area of IDL6543.)
