Established in late 1996 by the State Board of Education, the 12 Florida Educator Accomplished Practices are now viewed by the Florida Department of Education (DOE) as the main basis for assessing teacher performance at the preprofessional, professional, and accomplished educator levels. Virtually all other competencies and standards applicable to our program can be correlated to one or more of the Florida Educator Accomplished Practices. (SBE Rule 6A-5.065)
