Project Description:
Nowadays modern Secondary and High Schools have to be rather flexible to use
the new communications technologies in instructional process. Any
Educational organisation that wishes to have "high image" has to be ready to
use these technologies for teaching and learning. But there are many
specific needs in it.
 
Experience of working in several projects have shown necessity of new
approach to distance course creation and delivering on the base of model of
group-based cooperative work and distributed tutors. Distributed group-based
working skills can be promoted through the use of telematic. For example
promoting the integration of subject specific skills with more generally
applicable coordination and communication skills and using methodology in
the process of cooperative distance course creation.

Our approach consists in:
- teachers training in the effective use of telematics as a medium of
distributed group-based cooperative work for support of  course development
and delivery process;
- exploring new functionality of distrubuted tutor in model of group-based
cooperative work.

Anticipated results of the project are:
1. The project will provide new solutions for the problems of using
telematics for cooperative distance course creation in teachers training.
These solutions will contribute towards creation of the model (methodology)
of group-based cooperative work and distributed tutor in the case of
cooperative distance course creation in teachers training.

2. The project will provide intensive exchange of telematics-based courses.

3. Within the project we can disseminate WWW-based distance courses:
- on Communication and Information Technologies (Internet literacy)
- on distance course design and development for teachers training.
