Project description: In this project we would like to communicate
with people from various countries to get informations about the people,
life and interesting events. It will be useful for improvment of the language
(it doesn't have to be English).

Brief Description: Students from various countries are asked
to send in the prices of the following goods and we will compile a comparative
list to distribute to all participating schools:

Brief Description: THE NORWEGIAN FJORDHORSE - (The horse
from west of Norway)
Look: With it`s dun fur and black eel lengthways it`s back,
the fjordhorse looks a lot like the
prehistoric-horse equus. It`s a strong, charming horse, with a shortcut
mane, and a very pretty
head. it is very muscular and squarely built. It has got short, strong
legs.
Height: 132-147 cm.
Colour: All shades of dun, with a black eel. Feeble zebra-stripes
on it`s legs. it`s mane and tale is silver coloured and black.
Temperament and character: A strong-willing and hard working
horse. Tough and hardy. Are easily satisfied andcan become very old.
Range of use: All kinds of farm-work (in rugged ground). An excellent
draught-animal, and just as well suited for riding
Origin: West of Norway. A descendant of the Mongolian wild horse.
The breed has been breeded for over 2000 years in north-Europe, and were
also the vikings`s horse. The Vikings used the fjordhorses in fights, were
two horses were brought together to fight until one died. The fjordhorse
is breeded all over Scandinavia, and are very popular in Denmark.
NORDLANDSHEST
Look: Looks like the icelandic pony, but has got a smaller head.
Height: About 132 cm.
Colour: Almost all kinds of colours.
Teperament and character: It`s a robust and easily satisfied
horse with extremely strong legs and hoofs.
Range of use: If you like riding in the forest, it`s the perfect
pony for you, because of it`s strong legs. It`s also very well suited for
driving.
Origin: Norway. The pony which is called a horse in it`s homeland.
Nordlandshesten is descended from the Mongolian wildhorse and the Russian
tarpan.
