In 1996, a group of students at Escola Alema Corcovado developed a
project on "Medicinal Plants" with partners of other schools, to collect
information about plants species that can cure diseases without
industrial processes.
As a result, information about 30 species was collected and organized.
The material was made available through the Internet.
The success of this experience was revealed through of the interest
of
professionals of different areas - Education, Health, Biology as well
as
patients themselves. These people were trying to find solutions for
their problems that were simpler and less agressive to their organisms.
We intend to continue the "Medicinal Plants" project and are open to
the
participating of others who are interested in working together with
us
in this research project.
