Children's Millenium Challenge

Coordinator:  Hugh Webster
E-mail:  "Hugh Webster" <loveall@nnsw.quik.com.au>

Introduction
When a family of Canberra teenagers, Jeremy, David and his friend Ahmed, Jane and Claire visited Byron Bay for their summer holidays, they had no idea of the adventures they were going to experience. They were deep in the Border Ranges helping Jeremy with a rainforest ecology project. Unexpectedly, a freak cyclone struck the area and marooned them. No one could have expected that this chance event would make them start a participatory project that they hoped would change the UNITED NATIONS.

Jane Loveall's description of their adventure, and the MANIFESTO that she asks the whole world to help complete, sets an appropriate challenge for the beginning of the new millennium. Jane and her friends now ask everyone to participate in this CHILDREN'S MILLENNIUM CHALLENGE.
