Course Overview

This course covers the theories, structures, and methods of institutional and non-institutional correctional processing and the treatment of convicted criminals and juvenile offenders.

A Note Regarding Online Courses

By taking this course it is assumed that you not only have access to a computer but you have access to the WWW as well.

It is also assumed that you have the necessary plugins, are comfortable using Acrobat Reader, familiar with web browsers like Netscape & Microsoft Explorer, and you are able to view various video formats with media players such as Windows Media Player, RealPlayer, and QuickTime Player.

This is a web-based, asynchronous course and therefore has no specific, regular meeting time. However, there are assignment and exam deadlines which must be followed.

This course covers a good deal of content in a short period of time. Please remember that you have the option of withdrawing by the appropriate deadline.
