Respondus develops quiz, self-test, and survey applications for the WebCT platform. The software allows you to work from your Windows or Macintosh desktop and it greatly simplifies the creation and management of WebCT quizzes, self-tests, and surveys. For more information about respondus, visit the Respondus Web site.
Apple Macintosh users can run Respondus using Windows emulation software such as Connectix Mutual PC or Citrix.
You will need a username and password to access the download page. If you do not have it, please contact us at cdwsaid@mail.ucf.edu. Note: this is not your WebCT login. Once you have the username and password, use the link below to download Respondus. The link will take you to the download page for the latest version of Respondus, 3.0. If you have an older version of it, this new installer will update your version while maintaining the password previously entered.
Warning: You must have Administrative access to your computer to download Respondus or any updates. If you do NOT have Administrative access, you will need to contact the computer support unit for your college to download Respondus.
Publisher test banks are now available in Respondus format and more are "forthcoming." There is NO cost to obtain the Respondus-formatted test banks.
Faculty who adopt a participating publisher textbook can obtain the Respondus-formatted test bank by following three easy steps:
The e-mail you receive from the publisher will include the file code and password needed to download the Respondus-formatted test bank.
If you want to see how this works, a flash demo movie "Downloading a Publisher Test Bank" is available at http://www.respondus.com/products/demos.shtml .
Once the test bank is downloaded, the easiest way to select questions for an exam is to use the Respondus "Exam Wizard." The flash demo movie "The Respondus Exam Wizard" at http://www.respondus.com/products/demos.shtml shows how this works.
If the test bank for your textbook is not available (or forthcoming), you may submit a request.
Some publishers prefer to distribute their Respondus-formatted test banks using different methods. Ask your publisher representative whether their test banks are indeed available in Respondus format.
